New Australian Visa arrangements for Hong Kong

On 9 July 2020, Prime Minister Hon Scott Morrison MP together with Acting Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs Hon Alan Tudge MP announced new visa arrangements for Hong Kong passport holders to remain in Australia, with pathways to permanent residency. In summary, the new arrangements are: Hong Kong citizens who hold a Temporary Graduate or Temporary Skilled work visa will be able to extend their stay by five years, with a pathway to permanent residency.
